WRINKLE REDUCTION AFTERCARE GUIDE

Planning to look your best this year? You might be considering a non-surgical cosmetic procedure to soften crow’s feet around the eyes, smooth forehead lines, or reduce frown lines between the eyebrows.

For those aiming to maintain a youthful, refreshed appearance, facial lines and creases can be an unwelcome obstacle. If you've taken the step toward wrinkle reduction through a medical cosmetic procedure, the aftercare guidelines below will help you achieve the best outcome.

To maximise the benefits of your cosmetic treatment and minimise any potential side effects, it's important to follow these aftercare recommendations closely.

What to Expect Immediately After Your Procedure
Following your appointment, it's common to experience mild tenderness, slight swelling, redness, or occasional bruising at the treatment sites. These effects typically resolve within 24 hours, although any bruising could take up to a week to fade completely.

Some individuals may experience a mild headache after their cosmetic procedure. If needed, paracetamol is the preferred option for relief.

Initial results may begin to appear within 3 to 5 days, with full improvement visible by 14 days post-treatment.

FIRST 24 HOURS AFTER YOUR WRINKLE REDUCTION PROCEDURE:

  • Remain upright for at least 4 hours following the appointment

  • Keep the treated area clean

  • Avoid touching the treated areas to prevent product migration or potential infection

  • Use only clean tools and high-quality mineral makeup if needed

  • Avoid strenuous exercise

  • Steer clear of saunas and any activity that causes excessive sweating

  • Refrain from consuming alcohol

FOR THE FOLLOWING 3 DAYS:

  • No face-down massages for the next 48 hours

  • Avoid medications such as aspirin and ibuprofen

  • Limit sun exposure to the treated areas

FOR THE NEXT 2 WEEKS:

  • Avoid undergoing any additional cosmetic treatments in the treated area

  • No facials, chemical peels, laser treatments, or waxing near the area

  • Apply SPF 30+ daily to protect the skin

Please note: The full effect of the treatment will take up to 14 days to develop. A follow-up review at this time is recommended to evaluate the results and make any necessary adjustments.

RESULTS & LONGEVITY

This type of cosmetic procedure offers a temporary improvement in the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Results may vary based on individual anatomy, metabolism, treatment goals, and the amount of product used. On average, results last around 3 months. Clients who opt for a subtler effect may require a smaller amount of product, which can shorten the duration of the results.
